As we transition into fall, our schedules seem to become more busy as we ramp up for the holidays. Unfortunately, the weather here in Kentucky didn’t get the memo on the transition from summer. It has stayed abnormally warm and humid, so no sweaters just yet. However, I have been pleased to find some awesome transition pieces that are perfect for high temperatures, yet harvest ready.

This cardigan shrug is lightweight with 3/4-legnth sleeves, a neutral appropriate for the autumn color-pallete. Showing a little shoulder is totally in right now, so draping your cardigan is a must. Boots are a fall staple piece, but are too much for warm weather. Open-toe booties are that perfect in-between, and I’m obsessed with this pair from Old Navy. Paired with a deep emerald, dark skinnies, and a bright Burgundy lip, this look is one to FALL for.

Life lately has seemed so hectic. And while I don’t mind always having plans, sometimes the disease of being busy overwhelms me. No pity needed- I totally understand that I am not the only one with a jam-packed schedule (& I don’t even have kiddos). But we live in a world that never sleeps, & I love me some zzz’s. In midst of all the busyness, I have found retreat in fresh flowers and seasonally-lit candles. Our local grocery stores stocks fresh florals every Friday morning, and for a great price! While my thumb is not green, being surrounded by living objects brings a spirit of tranquility to my soul, which is already warmed by the aroma of pumpkin cinnamon candles.

It’s the simple things in life, guys. Enjoy them. Have a great Thursday, y’all!
