Y’all, my best friend of 4 and a half years is going to be a mom! And I could not be more excited. As we anticipate the arrival of Axel Kash, we showered our sweet friend with the cutest little baby shower. The luncheon was perfect- down to the food, the details, and the friends!
Every party has its planner…
One of my favorite hobbies is hosting parties. I enjoy all the small details and planning that goes into them. Not too long ago, I was throwing a bridal tea party for my dear friend, and now a baby shower. Wow, how awesome life can be!
This was one of my favorite party theme. The gold and baby blue gave such a feminine touch for a celebration of a baby boy. And I could not get enough of the elegant pumpkins incorporated into every detail.
Oh, Boy!
The restaurant was so beautiful that we did not have to do much in regards to decorating. For the centerpieces, I simply spray painted medium-sized pumpkins (yes, they were all real), and hollowed the center to make the perfect faux-vase. The flowers were all fresh, purchased from the local grocery store and bunched together in the perfect combination. Paired with gold and ivory mini pumpkins, the centerpieces were so elegant, and so sweet! The drip cake was AMAZING! I was so pleased with the colors, and it tasted just as good as it looked. (And did you notice the pumpkin in the ‘Oh Boy’ cake topper. It’s all about the details, ladies!) The guestbook was an actual book- Guess How Much I Love You, such a classic! Each guest signed a sweet little note for baby Ax to read once he is able to from all the people who love him and his parents. Favors came in form of wine- who can say no to wine?! And an extra-large bottle was given to Mama for some relaxation after baby Ax arrives. Baby Axel is coming, the time is near. When you hear the big news, POP open your bottle & send a big CHEER!
Tony York’s on Main is the cutest Kentucky-owned restaurant with an exquisite menu, perfect for a fancy dinner party, or in our case, a baby shower. This place is not only extremely classy and fancy, but the food is phenomenal. My recommendation: the house punch and chicken salad sandwich. All recipes of Chef Tony himself, these options were perfect for our luncheon, and the punch was a total hit!
Special thanks to our friend Taylor for being the perfect help! You rock, girl.
