This next project was for a local boutique here in Elizabethtown, Raiment + Boon. Their modern and quirky style is so unique and perfect, I wanted to make sure I could mesh into that with the Christmas decor. The only design request was for something non-traditional, so I knew I had to come up with something avant-garde. And as you can see, this “tree” is just that. While this project forced me to think completely outside of my box, it was so much fun seeing this contemporary vision come together.

For the tree, I used a galvanized/metal tomato cage. Yes, that’s right- I used an oversized gardening tool flipped upside down and it worked perfectly! I then added paper honeycombs and lanterns in an assortment of sizes and colors and cascaded them up the tree. For fillers, I placed large matte gold shatterproof ornaments throughout. And to tie it all together, I placed faux winter greenery scattered throughout. Underneath the tree, I wrapped faux gifts in neutral paper with delicate ribbon. I added those same presents throughout the store, stacked behind the gorgeous cedar garland that added a simple touch of the holidays.

I loved this project so much and smile every time I drive by and see it peeping through the window. Thank you so much to the fabulous ladies for trusting me with you holiday decorating this year. This is definitely one to remember!

Absolutely love this tree! Planning on making one similar for our christmas pop-up. How did you get it all to stay together? Did you hot glue it to the tin? Love your style! Thanks for the inspo!!
