As you guys know, my life has been experiencing lots of transitions lately. Transitioning away from margaritas and my raw steaks, transitioning our home into a kid-friendly atmosphere, and transitioning my jeans into maternity pants. And now with spring coming up, I am transitioning my wardrobe into bright colors, less layers, and lots of floral prints. But with that season change comes a growing pump, so accommodating for both can be a little tricky.
Thankfully, I am not the size of Texas just yet (and hopefully I won’t ever get to that point), but finding clothes for a growing bump can be hard. I have found myself not only going for flowy tops, but to bodycon dresses and skirts. The stretchy material accommodates my belly’s growth without having to buy new pieces. And believe it or not, a lot of my most recent pieces have been non-maternity. This berry bodycon dress from Forever21 is one of those! I love the thick material that sucks everything in, and plus its under $20! I am totally shocked with the quality of this dress for such a budget-friendly price tag.
I’ve paired this dress with my favorite knee-high boots from Target, which are currently out of stock, but I am tagging several dupes below. And for those chilly days, a coat over the shoulders (also out of stock from Old Navy, but tagging similar pieces below).
To all my soon-to-be mamas out there: don’t stress over finding maternity clothes to fill your closet. Finding simple pieces like this dress that can be used while pregnant and after. My main goal while shopping this pregnancy is finding pieces that can be worn after the baby is born too. Budget-friendly and practical!
Happy Thursday!
