Easter is right around the corner. And in midst of this worldwide pandemic, I still want to celebrate as much as I can. And what better way to brighten everyone’s spirit than by making some lovely Easter baskets. Because let’s be honest- you know you have the time to spare to make the BEST baskets this year!
Since I’ll be staying home for the foreseeable future, I thought an at-home pamper Easter basket would be the perfect fix to social distancing. And even once this is all over, it is still a great way to relax during the busyness of normalcy. Filled with all the goodies needed for an at-home spa night, this basket will be perfect for any woman in your life that needs some relaxation, along with some alcohol and chocolate.
EASTER Basket Case
Don’t think you have to get an expensive, fancy basket to make an elegant gift. A simple white woven basket is all that is needed. I found this one at Target for under $10. A neutral basket like this one is perfect, because it can be easily repurposed to fill next year with a new theme. Spice up the basket with a pretty ribbon on top. This is where your creativity comes into play- have some fun with it!
Start BIG
When making an Easter basket, I like to start with the big items. The bulk of your basket will be the foundation for a great basket- so be sure to include 1-3 larger items, depending on the size of the basket. For this at-home spa theme, I chose to include a pair of slippers, a bottle of prosecco, and some body wash.
Fill in the Cracks
The key to a good Easter basket is stuffing it full, so no negative space can be spotted at the bottom of the basket. Good space filler are important- so be sure to grab some smaller items to place throughout and fill space. Plastic eggs, candy, and even faux grass are great option for any basket. For this particular basket, you could even use some pretty velvet ribbon weaved in throughout as a space filler. Every woman needs some chocolate in her life- and I personally prefer Lindt, especially during this time of year. It isn’t truly Easter without the GOLD BUNNYs, plus they taste like soft, silky clouds sent from heaven. Delightful!
