Christmas is my favorite time of year, but it is also my busiest. A few years ago, I decided to take on decorating Christmas trees professionally. I didn’t think I would receive much interest and was just testing the waters. But boy, was I proven wrong quick;y! I’ve had the pleasure of decorating over 30 trees in the past 2 years, becoming completely booked every year. It is so awesome that people trust me with their homes during the most important time of the year, and I am so excited that I am able to use my creativity and passion for design and play with so many different styles and themes.
This year, I not only decorated family Christmas trees, but I also branched out into the cooperate world and decorated businesses for the holidays. It is a very different approach from your typical in-home tree and decor, but so much fun!
Over the next few days, I am going to be sharing some of the designs from this year in a series of blog posts to celebrate Christmas week.

This first design I like to call Modern Copper Glam. I used a combination of metallic colors mixed with dark greys and geometric shapes. This dark grey velvet ribbon from Ribbon Roll really set this tree apart, making it one of my faves. Plus, it meshed well with the flocked style of this 9’ tree.
I added the ‘Merry Christmas’ scroll sign from Hobby Lobby that really tied the entire tree together. With the velvet ribbon, I added varying patterns and mediums of other ribbons to give dimension. The ivory netted ribbon from At Home I use on alot of my trees because it is so versatile and really makes the trees pop. And the grey snowflake ribbon I actually snatched during a last minute Target Run, which I was super excited about because it matched in the theme of this family’s stockings.

Stay tuned for the next design in the Type A Style Christmas Decorating Series.
